NASH Support - Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis

A yellow asterisk ( A Yellow Asterisk ) next to the menu item indicates the link is new as of August 6 - 13, 2005

In 1980 a liver disease was identified as Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH.) NASH is a liver disease,
with the appearance of Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (ASH,) in patients who deny alcohol use.

At this point in time, there is no recognized treatment and no cure.
The only way to accurately confirm the diagnosis, is with a liver biopsy.

Information on this disease had once been difficult to find. NASH Support
offers a compendium of the most current findings; including, but not limited too,
etiology, laboratory tests, diagnosis, fibrosis/cirrhosis, treatment, and prognosis.

NASH Support was established by Pam Lopez on July 6, 2000 in an attempt to provide information
and support to those persons, family members, or friends, of those who have NASH.

The navigational menu above will present information from various doctors, medical institutions,
and symposiums; several documents obtained by Pam shown as "1980-1999 Documents";
membership pathways; and, Yahoo Group information for NASH Support.
